At the first sales call it was very clear that the homeowners were looking for a big change and had a big vision for what their backyard could become.  PHI Decks worked with Mickman Brothers Landscaping for the retaining wall, paver patio, and firepit.  After those were completed we began construction of a low maintenance screen porch that features TimberTech decking with ScreenEze screen panels and an attached deck with stairs that lead to the lower patio and firepit as well as stairs that lead to the upper patio with hot tub.  

One difficult aspect of this project was the existing egress window that was going to be covered by the new screen porch.  To allow this window to still function as an egress window as well as locate the porch where the homeowners wanted, we built a ledge inside of the porch that was hollow under and provided the necessary headroom and clearance to meet code.  On the inside of the porch, this area creates a shelf that the homeowners use as a serving station when eating and entertaining in their new space.
