HOW IT WORKS
PHONE CONSULTATION
The first step in planning your new outdoor living space is a phone consultation. This is typically a 15-30 minute phone call where we will discuss as many details about your project as possible. Topics will include what you would like to use the space for, what type of materials you are interested in, size requirements and restraints and most importantly helping to establish a budget.
After completing the phone consultation and determining that PHI Decks is a good fit for your project, we may setup a site visit if needed.

SITE VISIT
A typical site visit lasts between 30-60 minutes. During this time we gather information in order to begin designing your project. We will bring product samples and explain the benefits of each one as well as start talking about color options. We can help layout the space and show you different size options.
DESIGN & PRODUCT SELECTIONS
After collecting all necessary information we will return to the office and begin preparing your custom deck or porch design. We will start with conceptual drawings to help you visualize different sizes and layouts. After completing the conceptual design stage we will provide you with preliminary pricing.
Once preliminary pricing has been approved we will begin designing and bidding the project. We will create 3D renderings to help you visualize your new outdoor space and help determine colors and finishes prior to construction. Along with these renderings we will supply you with a written proposal of the exact cost of your project.
If design and product changes are made, this bidding phase can span over a couple of weeks. Our schedule does fill up quickly so if you are confident in selecting PHI Decks as your custom deck builder, we will take a 5% down payment to reserve your spot on the schedule. Once your spot is reserved we can continue making changes and fine tune the design.

FINALIZE SELECTIONS
Once all design changes have been made and the final price has been agreed upon we will return to your house for the final proposal and contract signing. At this meeting we will go through what you can expect once we start construction, an estimated start date, estimated completion date, we will also pick final colors for decking, railings, fascia, etc. We will go through payment terms and collect a down payment.
BUILDING
Now the exciting part! Our building crews are made up of 2-4 carpenters, with the same crew on each job from start to finish.
Typically this building process includes demo (if necessary), footings, framing, decking, stairs, railings, lighting, final touches and clean up.
